Overview
Who this is for: Parents spreading balances into installments.
What you can do here: Create payment plans, review plan status, and view installment schedules.
Prerequisites
- You can sign in with the role for this guide and access the entry route.
- Required student or payment data exists for your scenario.
- If your role is restricted, some actions may be hidden.
Step-by-step Procedure
- Open Manage Payment Plans (
/PaymentPlans/Index) from the parent dashboard. - Select Create Payment Plan.
- On the create page, complete:
- Student
- Total Amount (must meet the district's minimum plan amount and cannot exceed the student's outstanding balance)
- Installments (within the district's configured range; each installment must be at least $10.00)
- Check the consent box: I agree to monthly autopay, smart retries, and payment plan terms.
- Select Create Plan. You'll be redirected to a Stripe-hosted checkout page to enter your payment method and complete the first installment.
- After checkout, you're returned to the plan's Payment Plan Details page.
- Back on the plan list, select a student name or Details for a plan.
- On Payment Plan Details, review status, total, remaining balance, and the installment schedule.
Expected Outcomes
- The workflow completes and expected updates are visible in the destination page.
- You can verify status, totals, or records using the page results shown in this flow.
Troubleshooting / Edge Cases
- If you see an error banner, review amount, installment count, and consent checkbox.
- Use Back in details to return to all plans.
- Plans list includes both active and historical plans.
- Note: If amount is blank after student selection, enter it manually.

Q: Can I view previous plans?
A: Yes. The list shows active and historical plans.
Q: Where do I check next due date?
A: In the plan list under Next Due.
