Overview
Use Staff Roster to create and maintain staff-to-section assignments for academic operations.
/StaffRoster/Index requires the roster.read permission. By default this is granted to District Admin, Registrar, Teacher, and Staff roles — Power User does not have it and will see Access Denied for the entire workflow.Sections.AssignStaff permission, granted by default only to School Admin and Teacher./StaffRoster/Index.Staff, section, course...) and choose Search to filter current assignments./StaffRoster/Assign./StaffRoster/Index and verify the new row appears.Selecting remove prompts confirmation: Are you sure you want to remove this assignment?
A staff member can have multiple section assignments, and a section can have multiple staff assignments.
/StaffRoster/Index itself:role lacks roster.read entirely (e.g. Power User) — this is expected, not a bug.
role has roster.read but lacks Sections.AssignStaff permission.
ensure both Staff Member and Section are selected.
clear search filters and reload the table.
