Configure Tenant Settings and Options

Overview

Use this guide to open the admin settings hub and choose the correct tenant configuration area. The settings hub is reached at /Admin/SettingMenu, which renders the same settings dashboard as the Admin settings index.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access to the tenant.
  • Tenant settings permission for general settings, security, SSO, SIEM, and integration tiles.
  • Additional feature permissions for specialized areas such as RBAC, reminders, financial exports, and payments.
  • A change request or support ticket that identifies the setting to update and the expected outcome.

Step-by-step procedure

  1. Open Admin from the main navigation.
  2. Select Settings (/Admin/SettingMenu).
  3. Choose the tile for the task you need:
    • Tenant Information
    • Account Codes
    • Asset Status Options
    • Payment Options
    • Duplicate Students
    • MFA Configuration
    • Tenant SSO Configuration
    • Roles and Permissions
    • API Keys
    • Webhook Keys
    • SIEM Settings
    • Configure Email
    • Manage Email Templates
    • Reminder Rules
  4. Review the page-specific fields before changing values.
  5. Save changes using the action button on that page.
  6. Validate the result from the affected workflow, not only from the settings page.
  7. Record the change, validation evidence, and rollback notes in the support or implementation ticket.

Variations / branching flows

  • Identity and access: use MFA Configuration, Tenant SSO Configuration, and Roles and Permissions.
  • Integrations: use API Keys, Webhook Keys, and SIEM Settings.
  • Messaging: use Configure Email, Manage Email Templates, and Reminder Rules.
  • Finance and payments: use Account Codes, Payment Options, and the financial export configuration pages.
  • Data cleanup: use Duplicate Students and related student administration workflows.

Expected outcomes

  • The selected settings page opens from the hub without a 404 or permission error.
  • Saved settings persist after a page reload.
  • The affected downstream workflow reflects the saved setting.
  • Audit notes identify who made the change, when it was made, and what validation was completed.

Troubleshooting / edge cases

  • If the settings hub is not visible, confirm the user's admin role and tenant settings permission.
  • If a tile is visible but the target page denies access, check the feature-specific permission for that workflow.
  • If Webhook Keys opens a different host, that is expected; the web route redirects to the API admin webhook page.
  • If reminder notifications fail after settings changes, review Configure Email, Manage Email Templates, Reminder Rules, and reminder history together.
  • If SSO changes lock out users, use an admin account that is exempt from password-login disablement to review the tenant SSO setup.

Assumptions and gaps

  • Tile names are based on the current Admin settings dashboard labels. If a tenant has feature flags or environment-specific modules disabled, some tiles may be hidden or may deny access.
